Job Overview

Shift schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
3 years of Critical Care Float experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ability to manage patients on the ventilator
CRRT experience
Advanced hemodynamics experience
Phlebotomy experience
Experience administering breathing treatments (inhalers and nebulizers)
Experience with post-operative day 0 CABG patients
Experience with Impella devices
Experience with balloon pumps
Experience with Swan Ganz catheters
Experience with EVDs (external ventricular drains)

Preferred Qualifications

BSN
Advanced certifications
TNCC certification

Unit Experience

ICU setting with mixed ICU patients and inpatient PCU/med-surg holds
Experience with CRRT
Advanced hemodynamics
Phlebotomy
Respiratory treatments such as inhalers and nebulizers
Post-op CABG care
Impella and balloon pump management
Swan Ganz monitoring
Neuro ICU procedures including EVDs, bolts, Codman, and induced hypothermia with Artic Sun
Experience with head and neck flap procedures is trainable

Work Environment

Bedside shift report used for handoff
Travelers are first to float and may be sent to the emergency department or PCU
Navy uniform required
