Description
RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Surgical Oncology experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Experience
- Surgical oncology experience
Work Setting
- Med-surg unit with surgical oncology patients
- 47-bed department
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Provide nursing care within scope of practice and age/population-specific standards
Unit Details
- Floating may be required to other med-surg units on any campus
- Uses Epic, AccuDose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry
Orientation
- 1 day of lead center training
- 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor
Additional Notes
- Candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
- Candidates within 60 to 80 miles are considered local rate
- Must note if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if so, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
- Interview times should be provided with submission
- Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrubs are required
