Description

RN (Registered Nurse)

Location

  • Fargo, North Dakota

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Dakota
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Surgical Oncology experience
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Experience

  • Surgical oncology experience

Work Setting

  • Med-surg unit with surgical oncology patients
  • 47-bed department
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Provide nursing care within scope of practice and age/population-specific standards

Unit Details

  • Floating may be required to other med-surg units on any campus
  • Uses Epic, AccuDose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry

Orientation

  • 1 day of lead center training
  • 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit with a preceptor

Additional Notes

  • Candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
  • Candidates within 60 to 80 miles are considered local rate
  • Must note if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if so, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
  • Interview times should be provided with submission
  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
  • Navy blue scrubs are required
