Description
Labor & Delivery RN
Location
Renton, Washington
Shift
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Contract Length
- 18 weeks
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- OR circulating experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
Assignment Details
- Float to postpartum as needed
- Weekend shifts required
- No call or standby requirement for travel RNs
Unit Information
- Labor and delivery, postpartum, and triage beds available
- Active labor, postpartum, gestational hypertension, and gestational diabetes are common patient types
- RN titration of drips is required
- Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin are used as titratable or set-rate drips
- Two surgical techs are available 24/7
- OB and neonatology coverage are in house 24/7, with 24-hour anesthesia coverage
- No telemetry on the unit
- Obix is used for fetal monitoring
Additional Notes
- Experience in a high-risk, Level 3 facility is preferred
- Travelers with license hits related to diverting medications or endangerment will not be accepted
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Jackets and scrubs are provided for Labor & Delivery nurses
