RN - Labor & Delivery

Overview

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Start date: Must start on 9/14/26

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alaska
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • OR circulator experience
  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • NRP

Unit Details

  • Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit
  • 7 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:3, variable by census and acuity
  • 2 RN and 1 scrub tech on both day and night shifts
  • 2 shifts on call per four-week schedule
  • 2 weekends required, variable depending on staffing

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to perform SVE and place IUPC and FSE
  • Experience as a stork nurse and transitioning babies at delivery
