Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location

Golden, Colorado

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day shift
9-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Weekday and weekend call required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Endoscopy (1 year of experience)
Endoscopy experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with the technical operation of GI equipment

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care and safety for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
Assess patient needs, develop and update plans of care, and document changes in status
Support, educate, and reassure patients and families
Use aseptic practice and monitor compliance within the surgical team
Participate in quality improvement and inventory management
Float to other perioperative departments as needed, and occasionally to other nursing units within scope of competency
