Travel RN Job Summary
Overview
- Specialty: RN
- Location: San Antonio, Texas
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0800–1630
- Weekend/holiday coverage: No weekends, holidays, or call
Role Focus
- Outpatient post-transplant kidney clinic
- Primary responsibility is managing patients after kidney transplant
- Work includes triaging post-transplant patient calls, reviewing and escalating lab results, scheduling testing, entering electronic prescriptions, clinic prep, and patient assessments as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Patient triage experience
- Experience working with high call volumes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
