RN - Cancer Care
Overview
- Travel registered nurse role in Reno, Nevada
- 13-week contract
- Night shift, 3x12 schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- No call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nevada
- Oncology (1 year of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification
Unit / Patient Population
- Oncology/cancer unit
- Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Mix of oncology and medical-surgical patients
- Common admissions include chemotherapy and complications related to disease process
Schedule / Assignment Expectations
- May be required to float within competency
- One additional shift required during the schedule period
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
Clinical Notes
- Remote telemetry monitoring capability on the unit
- Tele testing and ACLS are not required
- Additional bloodwork required: CMP, CBC with differential, TSH, hepatic panel, and creatinine
