Description

Registered Nurse

Location

  • Omaha, Nebraska

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • 48-hour contract

Schedule

  • Nights
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Shift times: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM and 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend
  • Manager schedules shifts; no block scheduling or self-scheduling

Unit Overview

  • Combined cardio, general ICU, PCU, and MedSurg unit
  • 18 beds
  • Patient mix includes intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients, with cardiac and vascular diagnoses
  • PCU patients and ratios are expected

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • 1 year of experience with this patient population
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Ability to titrate drips
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Driver’s license required at submittal

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for ICU/PCU patients
  • Float to same-level and lower-acuity units
  • Work with titratable medications and respiratory support equipment as needed

Additional Notes

  • ASAP start needed
  • RTO must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
  • Orientation includes 1–2 shifts on the unit, tailored to experience
