Description
Registered Nurse
Location
- Omaha, Nebraska
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 48-hour contract
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- Shift times: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM and 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Every other weekend
- Manager schedules shifts; no block scheduling or self-scheduling
Unit Overview
- Combined cardio, general ICU, PCU, and MedSurg unit
- 18 beds
- Patient mix includes intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients, with cardiac and vascular diagnoses
- PCU patients and ratios are expected
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- 1 year of experience with this patient population
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Ability to titrate drips
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Driver’s license required at submittal
Key Responsibilities
- Care for ICU/PCU patients
- Float to same-level and lower-acuity units
- Work with titratable medications and respiratory support equipment as needed
Additional Notes
- ASAP start needed
- RTO must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- Orientation includes 1–2 shifts on the unit, tailored to experience
