    Respiratory Therapist, NICU

    Job Overview

    • Location: Richland, Washington
    • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Contract Length: 13 weeks

    Key Job Details

    • Floating between units is required.
    • Weekends are required every other week.
    • On-call is not required.
    • Block scheduling is not required.
    • Patient ratios depend on hospital acuity.
    • The role requires working independently in a Level 3 NICU and having the skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center.
    • Staff are considered variable assignment resources for the unit, including full-time employees.
    • Shift assignment is typically confirmed 1 to 2 weeks in advance.

    Required Qualifications

    • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (1 year of experience)
    • Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
    • Ability to work independently within a Level 3 NICU
    • Ability to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center

    Required Certifications

    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • NRP

    Additional Notes

    • Reduced non-billable orientation: 0 hours.
    • 48 hours are not approved.
