Required Qualifications

RN license
BLS (AHA)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
FHM - A1 Intermediate
1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Work Expectations

36 hours per week
Every 3rd weekend
Call is required: 6 hours per pay period
Must work 1 major holiday per season
6 shifts of orientation with a preceptor

Unit Details

Small Labor & Delivery unit
6 labor rooms, 3 postpartum rooms, 1 triage room, and 1 OR for C-sections
LDRP patients; rare general overflow patient
1:1 in Labor & Delivery; up to 1:3 in postpartum
Charge nurse is on site 24/7 and takes a full assignment
CNA coverage: 1 per shift
Typically staffed on days with 3–4 RNs and 1 tech

Additional Notes

Stable is preferred
Any color or print is allowed
Paragon (McKesson) is used
Floating may include MedSurg PCU or LTC, task-only
C-sections are done in the Labor & Delivery OR suite
