PT Outpatient
Job Overview
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
- Location: Plains, Montana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Outpatient/inpatient, home visits, and swing bed program in a rural critical access hospital
- Start window: August 25 to September 8
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10s (08:00–18:30) or optional 5x8s (08:00–16:00)
- Hours: 40 per week
- Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Floating: No
- On-call: No
- Local candidates: Accepted
- Block scheduling: May be accommodated
- Guaranteed hours: Yes, after call-off policy is met
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Montana
- Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Requirements
- Background check required
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
- Annual HHS/OIG check required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- N95 fit test within 12 months of start
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization or immunity documentation required
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- Skills checklist required annually
Role Summary
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and support patient independence
- Work collaboratively with providers and care teams across acute, outpatient, and long-term care settings
