Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Employment Type: Temp
Shift: Nights
Hours per Shift: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Preferred
- Travel experience
Job Summary
- Provides respiratory care for patients with emergency, intensive care, therapeutic, diagnostic, and monitoring needs related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Interviews, examines, and assesses patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Consults with physicians to develop treatment plans and creates therapy programs based on physician instructions and assessment findings.
- Performs diagnostic testing such as measuring lung capacity.
- Treats patients using methods including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, CPAP, and BIPAP.
- Monitors and maintains equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.
