Ultrasound Technologist
Overview
- Contract length: 9 weeks
- Location: New York, New York
- Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Hours per week: 37.5
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT
- RDMS
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform or assist with ultrasound examinations
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations
- Operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure supplies are available
- Assist with orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians’ workstations
- Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and initiate transportation when needed
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of office and administrative practices
- Skill in using personal computers and software
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion
