Physical Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Salinas, California
- Employment type: Travel
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 1 weekend per month
- Contract length: 15 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience in a Hospital setting
- Experience with Epic
Role Summary
- Assess patients and plan/administer physical therapy care
- Provide patient care, documentation, and treatment planning
- Supervise assistants and aides
- Instruct and evaluate therapy students and therapy assistant students
- Regularly assume Charge Therapist duties
- Support pediatric physical therapy care, including gross motor skills, gait, therapeutic exercises, development, and durable medical equipment
- Coordinate referrals for patients who may need continued therapy after discharge
