RN - PeriOp - Outpatient Surg Ctr - Days

Shift

  • 8-hour shifts
  • 0615-1445, Monday-Friday
  • No weekends, holidays, or call

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • Perioperative experience
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
  • BLS

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and respond to patient physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
  • Communicate patient assessments to the appropriate team members
  • Perform nursing care, including IV therapy and implementation of physicians’ orders
  • Document patient records accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Assist with PACU care, including airway management, vital sign monitoring, pain control, and discharge readiness
  • Support patient transfers and float coverage as needed
  • Assist in procedure rooms and with anesthesia-related supplies and emergency readiness
  • Participate in committee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement
