Interventional Technologist I

Location

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • 4x10 shifts
  • On-call coverage on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month
  • May need to work overtime

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
  • Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
  • Graduate of a post-secondary educational program in health science such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT, or completion of a military educational program
  • Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association upon hire
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT(RT), RCES, or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire

Experience / Skills

  • Knowledge of medical imaging, patient positioning, and medical ethics
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to specialty imaging procedures
  • Ability to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation
  • Knowledge of sterile field practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and standards
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, remain calm under stress, and work effectively in a diverse team
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes

Job Summary

  • Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions without surgery
  • Supports procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management
  • Assists with patient preparation, sterile technique, equipment maintenance, quality checks, documentation, and on-call clinical coverage
  • May assist with teaching, precepting, and onboarding team members
