Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Hilo, Hawaii

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Variable day and night shifts
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
  • Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month
  • No guarantee of hours or shift preference

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Hawaii
  • Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Nursery experience
  • Post Partum experience

Job Duties

  • Care for laboring patients
  • Assist with delivery
  • Provide immediate newborn care
  • Provide post-delivery care for mother

Unit Details

  • Labor and delivery unit with 8 labor beds
  • Postpartum unit with 18 beds

Equipment / Systems

  • Meditech
  • GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system

Start Requirement

  • Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of the offer
  • Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
