Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery
Location
- New Lenox, Illinois
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides labor and delivery care for women during childbirth
- Monitors mother and baby
- Coaches mothers during labor
- Assists physicians
- Prepares patients and families for the stages of birth
- Supports breastfeeding after delivery
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
Preferred
- Travel experience
Unit Notes
- Birthing center averages 200 births per month
- Labor and delivery patient ratio: 2:1
- Delivery or C-section patient ratio: 1:1
- Epidurals and IV Pitocin ratio: 2:1
