RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Omaha, Nebraska
Job Details
- Inpatient rehab RN role
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour nights
- 36 hours per week
- Unit has 35 beds
- Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with stroke, SCI, amputee, brain injury, critical illness, and neurological conditions
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights
- Floating required to MedSurg
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS certification
- Driver’s license required at submittal
- Must pass an open-book orientation exam with a score of 90% or higher
Schedule
- Cyclic self-scheduling
- Every 3rd weekend required
- At least 2 holidays required
Orientation
- Classroom orientation plus 2 unit-based 12-hour shifts
Additional Requirements
- Must be outside the 50-mile radius
- Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- Up to 7 days of RTO allowed upfront for the 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Unit Notes
- Charge nurse on each shift
- Nurse aides/patient care techs are present, with ratios of 1:10–15
- Common titratable or set-rate medications include antibiotics, anticoagulation, and antiplatelets
