RN (Registered Nurse)

12-hour shifts

Unit Overview

Labor and delivery / alternate birthing center with postpartum and level II nursery patients
12 LDRP rooms and 2 triage rooms
About 700 deliveries per year

Required Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
BLS
ACLS
NRP
Skilled in labor and delivery

Schedule

Every other weekend
Every other holiday
No call or standby requirement

Responsibilities and Work Setting

Float hospital-wide as needed for tasking and team nursing
Charge nurse on each shift without a patient assignment
CPAP support in the level II nursery with respiratory therapy assistance for setup

Orientation

2–3 shifts
12 non-billable orientation hours

Additional Notes

Hospital-provided scrubs
Drug screen required
Requested time off must be submitted with the application
