Description
Labor & Delivery RN
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Overview
Experienced RN needed for a Labor & Delivery unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center. High-risk labor and delivery experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Labor and Delivery experience with 2 years of experience
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS
- CPR
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN
- C-EFM
- STABLE
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with high-risk patients
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state practice laws
- Document care according to standards
- Develop, initiate, and carry out patient plans of care based on individual needs and physician or hospital policy
- Participate in unit performance improvement activities
- Provide clinical guidance to other units or departments as needed
- Use critical thinking to support patient safety and patient experience
