Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Hours per Week: 36

Overview

Experienced RN needed for a Labor & Delivery unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center. High-risk labor and delivery experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Labor and Delivery experience with 2 years of experience
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • CPR
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN
  • C-EFM
  • STABLE
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience working with high-risk patients
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state practice laws
  • Document care according to standards
  • Develop, initiate, and carry out patient plans of care based on individual needs and physician or hospital policy
  • Participate in unit performance improvement activities
  • Provide clinical guidance to other units or departments as needed
  • Use critical thinking to support patient safety and patient experience
