Patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:3
Equipment used: Vents, oscillators, Vapotherm
Floating: Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery
Weekend requirement: 3–4 weekends per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
NRP
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
Ventilator experience

Preferred Experience

Ventilator experience
Experience with 23–40+ week gestation infants
Ventilator/oscillator experience
CPN charting experience

Typical Procedures

Intubations
Assist with eye exams
Feeding tube insertions
IV insertions

Work Environment

Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 1/2 unit clerk, and necessary nurses for patient care
Team-oriented personality preferred
