Certified Surgical Technologist — Orthopedic Operating Room

Job Overview

Travel assignment in Portland, Maine
Specialty operating room role focused on orthopedic surgery
13-week contract
48 hours per week
10- or 12-hour shifts
Weekend and extended shift availability required

Required Qualifications

Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification in good standing
At least 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience with multiple vendor orthopedic systems including Stryker, DePuy, Smith & Nephew, and Zimmer
Experience with Mako robotic-assisted surgery
Experience with Hana table positioning
Experience with complex total joint revision procedures
Experience with orthopedic trauma procedures

Work Environment

High-volume orthopedic operating room
Five orthopedic ORs
Fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Team-oriented surgical environment

Key Clinical Experience

First scrub complex total joint revision cases
First assist on polytrauma orthopedic cases with minimal supervision
Work with multi-vendor systems and orthopedic instrumentation

Schedule and Call

Day, evening, and night shift options are listed
One overnight trauma call may be required
Weekend call is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Additional Notes

Teal scrubs are issued by the hospital
