Description

Respiratory Therapist

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour nights
36 hours per week
Weekend rotation: every other weekend on nights
Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Floating required within the hospital in respiratory therapy capacity

Required Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
ACLS
BLS (AHA)
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience
Driver’s license required at submittal

Preferred Qualifications

NRP
PALS

Clinical Experience / Skills

Experience with EKGs, bedside bronchoscopy, and bedside spirometry
Experience caring for patients from neonates to geriatrics
Inpatient experience covering all areas/floors

Additional Notes

Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days for the 13-week contract
Candidate must live more than 50 miles away and may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
