Required Qualifications

2+ years of progressive care unit experience
1 year of nursing experience
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)

Education

Nursing Diploma, or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred Education

BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Job Summary

Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and priorities, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
Develop, update, and implement plans of care with the patient and family
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate care and support continuity
Provide bedside point-of-care testing as required
Support discharge planning and patient/family education
Contribute to unit goals, performance improvement, and safe hospital environment
