Schedule Details

• Variable start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• No evenings
• No weekends
• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
• Holidays are covered by call

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• COVID vaccination required
• At least 2 years of OR experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Cerner Surginet
• Experience with CV cases or robotic cases if applicable

Work Setting

• Main OR has 4 beds
• Pavilion has 8 beds
• Scrub techs are used
• Charge nurse does not take patients or cases

Orientation

• 1 week of paperwork orientation
• 1 week of partnered orientation with a preceptor

Case Mix

• Main OR: mostly orthopedic cases, including total hips, knees, and joints
• Pavilion: neuro, orthopedic spine, cardiovascular, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT cases

Additional Notes

• Scrub color is provided by the hospital
• Floating is not required
• 15–25 cases per day
• 400 cases per month
• 20–25% of cases are inpatient
• Anesthesiologists manage anesthesia; no CRNAs
• Critical patients go directly to ICU from the OR
