Stepdown Intermediate Care RN

Overview

• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Unit size: 22 beds

Schedule and assignment details

• No call required
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Floating as needed
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted; traveler must live at least 50 miles away from the facility

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 2 years of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred qualifications

• CPI

• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• Charting system: Cerner PowerChart
• Background check required within 90 days of start
• Education verification or a copy of diploma/transcripts is required
• Physical exam required
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start is required
• TB screening and immunity/vaccine documentation are required prior to start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required prior to start during flu season
• Fit mask testing is required
