MRI Technologist

Job Details

• Location: Brookfield, Connecticut
• Employment type: Contract clinician
• Shift: 8-hour days
• Hours per week: 40
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• AHA BLS
• ARRT (R) (MR)
• Connecticut radiology license
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable

Experience

• 1 year of MR experience in high-volume environments preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI studies and operate imaging equipment
• Screen patients for contraindications and support patient safety
• Explain MRI procedures to patients and address concerns
• Communicate with radiologists and other customers as needed
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators
• Troubleshoot scanner and related equipment to help prevent downtime or delays in care

Additional Notes

• Proficiency running advanced MR studies independently
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Experience resolving customer issues to mutual satisfaction
• Local travel may be required
