Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Specialty: Cardiopulmonary
Location: Clinton, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Day shift, 6:30am–7:00pm, with rotating weekend and call schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Role Summary

Provides cardiopulmonary care services according to physician orders and department policies and procedures.
Performs respiratory therapy treatments.
Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators and provides associated critical care support, including airway management and tracheal suctioning.
Maintains knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and related equipment.

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
BLS
ACLS

Physical / Work Conditions

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.
