Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Laparoscopic assisted bariatric cases
- General surgery cases: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple
- Neurology cases: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion
- Orthopedic cases: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures
- Plastic surgery cases: Free Flap - Microvascular
- Organ donation experience
- Urology cases: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy
- Electrosurgical units operation
- Fiber optic light sources/cords operation
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Weekend coverage required: 1 per month
- On-call required: 1 per week
- Floating may be required within skill set
- Block scheduling is not available
- All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by the manager

- Bariatric laparoscopic-assisted cases

- Required emergency management experience includes code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia
- Required equipment/supplies experience includes electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana tables
- Required professional skills include blood product administration, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol time-out procedure, and urinary bladder catheterization
