Interventional Technologist I

Schedule

• 4x10 shifts
• On-call coverage on nights and weekends, approximately 8–10 shifts per month

Role Overview

Assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and supports patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• Graduate of a post-secondary educational program in health science such as cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT
• Knowledge and skill in medical imaging principles, patient positioning, medical ethics, anatomy and physiology related to specialty imaging procedures, sterile field practices, HIPAA, and accurate documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively, prioritize work, multitask, remain calm under stress, work collaboratively, and maintain accurate records
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire
• ARRT(RT) certification required within 18 months of hire

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Maintain a strict sterile field and support patient safety
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort
• Perform quality control, cleaning, disinfecting, and equipment maintenance
• Complete post-testing quality reviews and support quality assurance activities
• Provide on-call clinical coverage as assigned
• Support teaching, precepting, and onboarding when needed
