Medical Surgical Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 48
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Scheduling notes: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; floating required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Driver’s license or state ID

- Fingerprinting completed onsite during orientation
- Primary source state license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Clear headshot for badge
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- 7-year work history verification
- Complete application/resume
- Unit-specific skills checklist annually

- ACLS, PALS, NRP, chemotherapy, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and other listed competencies/certifications are required only as applicable.
