PCU

Overview

  • Location: Bloomington, Indiana
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Unit type: ED hold/boarding unit with possible float to an inpatient PCU unit

Role Details

  • RN will care for medical-surgical and PCU-type patients in an ED boarding area
  • This is a float position and may be floated to an inpatient PCU unit
  • The unit uses team nursing with RN/LPN collaboration at times
  • Patient ratios can fluctuate based on acuity and staffing

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Cerner

Schedule Requirements

  • Every other weekend
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
