Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Seattle, Washington
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Post Partum (2 years of experience)
• Post Partum experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Academy of Pediatrics or American Heart Association or Canadian Paediatric Society
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• High-risk obstetric care experience
• Magnesium experience
• Postpartum hemorrhage management
• Substance withdrawal care
• Labor and Delivery experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• JADA experience

Unit Details

• High-volume, high-census postpartum unit
• Cares for high-risk obstetric patients
• Standard assignment is 4 couplets

Scheduling and Float Expectations

• Floating is required to postpartum at Issaquah Campus and Edmonds Campus, and to Labor and Delivery for the second hour of recovery
• 6 weekend days per contract

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Candidates from other Providence facilities may be eligible if separated for at least 3 months
• Active compact license is honored at Swedish facilities
