Registered Echo Technologist
Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registration or ARDMS credential
- BLS
- Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography, or on-the-job training with an Associate degree in Allied Health
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and cardiovascular procedures, including stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and cardiac Doppler
- Perform related cardiovascular diagnostic tests as appropriate to licensure
- Document procedure data and report life-threatening test results promptly
- Clean and disinfect cardiology equipment and accessories
- Support supply inventory, clerical tasks, patient transport, telephone inquiries, and other assigned duties
- Participate in cardiovascular meetings, CQI activities, and evaluations
- Supervise and instruct students, precept new employees, and support continuous quality improvement
- Maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Perform CPR as needed
