    Description

    Labor and Delivery RN

    Overview

    • Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
    • Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–07:30
    • 48 hours per week
    • Contract length: 26 weeks
    • First-time travelers accepted

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in Washington
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • 3 years of Registered Nurse experience
    • Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
    • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
    • 2 years of experience in high-acuity and high-pace environments
    • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
    • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
    • Antepartum experience
    • Post Partum experience
    • Current supervisory references
    • Proof of required certifications with submission
    • Current NURSYS verification
    • Must pass clinical review
    • Must be able to circulate and provide newborn care, including eyes/thighs assessment and vitamin K injections
    • Must be able to function as baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum

    Preferred Qualifications

    • ACLS
    • AWHONN Advanced
    • AWHONN Intermediate
    • 5 years of high-risk experience

    Unit Details

    • High-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit
    • 4 operating rooms
    • Average daily census: 15
    • Approximately 500–600 deliveries per month
    • Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
    • Uses electronic fetal monitoring

    Schedule and Work Expectations

    • Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
    • Schedule is posted every 6 weeks and adjusted to unit needs
    • Floating may be required to postpartum, antepartum, and sister facilities that provide mother/baby care

    Additional Notes

    • Pre-approved time off is reviewed case by case
    • EPIC experience is required
