SICU setting

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIH Certification
CPI/MOAB
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Onboarding / Health Requirements

MMR documentation or positive IgG titer
Fit test
Hepatitis B vaccination series documentation or declination
Varicella documentation or immunity evidence
Tdap
Health statement or completed physical exam
2-step PPD or IGRA
Influenza vaccine is optional; declinations are accepted, but masking is required if declined

Notes

BLS and ACLS must be AHA
Fit test must be updated annually
Tdap is valid for 10 years
Specialty exam requires a passing score of at least 80% with only 2 attempts allowed
Core competencies require a passing score of at least 80% with only 2 attempts allowed
EKG exam requires a passing score of at least 80% with only 2 attempts allowed
Optional on-site CPI/MOAB portion may be completed at orientation
