Radiation Therapist
Overview
- Contract role in Lancaster, Ohio
- Full-time day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No weekends or call
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Ohio
- Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT (RT)
- BLS
- Associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy
- 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience
- TrueBeam and Aria experience
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments
- Obtain patient history, answer questions, and explain procedures
- Monitor patients during treatment for unusual reactions or events
- Schedule patients and coordinate with physicists and supportive care staff
- Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification
- Prepare treatment documentation and reports
- Prepare the room and equipment, position patients, and assist with transfers as needed
- Reinforce physician and care-team instructions related to treatment and side effects
- Perform verification and port film exposures and make physician-directed adjustments
Work Conditions
- Medium physical demand, including lifting and moving patients/equipment within stated force ranges
