Description
Respiratory Therapist
Location
- Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Shift
- Nights, 12-hour shifts
Schedule
- Team scheduling
- Weekend coverage required: days every third weekend; nights every other weekend
- Holidays rotate with permanent staff
Setting
- Inpatient role covering all areas/floors
- Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics
- Floating required to different areas throughout the hospital in the respiratory therapy capacity
Required Qualifications
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience
- Driver’s license required at submission
- Must be able to work within 50 miles of the facility
- Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
Required Skills / Experience
- EKGs
- Bedside bronchoscopy
- Bedside spirometry
Additional Notes
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
- Requested time off must be submitted upfront; additional time off will not be approved after submission
