Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Hazleton, Pennsylvania
• 13-week assignment
• Evening shift: 3x12 hours, 3:00 PM–3:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio: 1:7
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No blocked scheduling
• Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course or TCRN - Trauma Certified Registered Nurse
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic
• Local travelers accepted
• First-time travelers accepted
• RTO required at time of submission

Clinical / Unit Notes

• EPIC charting used

Additional Requirements

• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania child abuse search required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania state exclusions search required within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania PATCH required within 30 days of start
• References: minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start
• Employment application with 7 years of work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
• Tdap within 10 years of start
• COVID vaccination or declination required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Drug screen required within 60 days of start
• Fit test questionnaire required before start
• Affidavit for provisional employment required before start
