Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Largo, Maryland
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• Day shift: 3x12, 10:45–23:15
• Adults/Geriatrics patient population
• 1:1 ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• DaVinci robotics experience
• Ability to scrub and circulate in the Operating Room
• Level II Trauma center experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Unit Details

• Level II trauma center
• General OR cases include trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endo, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, bariatric, and DaVinci robotics

Schedule Expectations

• Holidays required as scheduled
• Weekends required, including rotational weekend and on-call coverage
• On-call required: 5–6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Must arrive within 30 minutes when called in
• Floating required within the specialty and to a sister campus as needed

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted with strong general OR and robotics experience
• Epic is required
