Telemetry RN
Location
- Manchester, New Hampshire
Assignment Type
- Travel/contract
- 13 weeks
- Night shift, 4x12 hours
- Every other weekend required
Unit / Role Summary
- Assigned to the ED surge unit caring for inpatient/CICU level holds in the ED
- May assist with similar-unit floating and patient sitting
- Team nursing / helping hands approach
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
- Ability to manage and titrate drips (Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine)
Preferred Experience
- ED experience
Clinical Expectations
- Must manage and titrate drips
- Common patient conditions include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, and overflow medical/surgical/trauma/oncology/orthopedic cases
- Also sees post-cath with stent only, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions
