Description

Telemetry RN

Location

  • Manchester, New Hampshire

Assignment Type

  • Travel/contract
  • 13 weeks
  • Night shift, 4x12 hours
  • Every other weekend required

Unit / Role Summary

  • Assigned to the ED surge unit caring for inpatient/CICU level holds in the ED
  • May assist with similar-unit floating and patient sitting
  • Team nursing / helping hands approach

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Hampshire
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic
  • Ability to manage and titrate drips (Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine)

  • ED experience

Clinical Expectations

  • Must manage and titrate drips
  • Common patient conditions include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, and overflow medical/surgical/trauma/oncology/orthopedic cases
  • Also sees post-cath with stent only, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions
