Description
Sonographer
Location
- Weirton, West Virginia
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- West Virginia license
- ARDMS and/or RVT
- WV CARES required prior to start
- Experience with OB and arterial extremity Doppler
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Responsibilities
- General ultrasound
- OB imaging
- Small parts imaging
- Vascular ultrasound of upper and lower venous and arterial studies
- Starting IVs
Work Environment
- 3 ultrasound scanners/rooms
- No floating to other areas
- Average volume: 35 studies per day
- Siemens S2000 equipment
- EMR: Community Works
- PACS: Intellirad/Intelliconnect
- Radiologist in-house until 5 pm, then on call
- Vrad covers interpreting from 2 am to 6 am
Orientation
- 5 shifts with a preceptor
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be within a 50-mile radius
- Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submission
- Scrubs may be any clean, professional color
