Operating Room Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
• Day/evening rotating schedule
• Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week
• Call may be required
• Weekend coverage may be required

Schedule

• Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
• Schedule may vary based on unit need
• Monday–Friday shift windows listed: 06:30–17:00, 06:30–19:00, or 10:30–20:30

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Thoracic Surgery experience
• ENT Surgery experience
• Orthopedic Surgery experience
• Plastic Surgery experience
• Urology experience
• Surgical Oncology experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Circulate and scrub experience
• Experience rated 3–4 in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da-Vinci)
• Oncology experience

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Drug screen required within 3 months of start
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Tdap required
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
• MMR immunity required
• Varicella immunity required
• Hepatitis B immunity or declination required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate required
• Ethics and compliance policies acknowledgement required
• Confidential fraud, waste, abuse, and compliance reporting form required
• Background acknowledgement form required for subcontractors
• Proof of fingerprint completion required for APN candidates only
