Description
Operating Room Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
- Day/evening rotating schedule
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week
- Call may be required
- Weekend coverage may be required
Schedule
- Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
- Schedule may vary based on unit need
- Monday–Friday shift windows listed: 06:30–17:00, 06:30–19:00, or 10:30–20:30
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Thoracic Surgery experience
- ENT Surgery experience
- Orthopedic Surgery experience
- Plastic Surgery experience
- Urology experience
- Surgical Oncology experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Circulate and scrub experience
- Experience rated 3–4 in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da-Vinci)
- Oncology experience
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Drug screen required within 3 months of start
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Tdap required
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- MMR immunity required
- Varicella immunity required
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate required
- Ethics and compliance policies acknowledgement required
- Confidential fraud, waste, abuse, and compliance reporting form required
- Background acknowledgement form required for subcontractors
- Proof of fingerprint completion required for APN candidates only
