Occupational Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Crescent City, California
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 5x8 hours
- Hours: 40 per week
- Primary setting: Acute Rehab
- May float to Acute Inpatient when census requires
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the Acute Rehab department
- Assess, plan, organize, and provide occupational therapy treatment to support vocational, homemaking, daily living, and independence goals
- Complete patient evaluations, testing, documentation, and plan-of-care updates
- Coordinate care with other providers and support team members
- Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides
- Serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students
Additional Requirements
- Must maintain certification and complete required continuing education
- Must comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures
- Must be able to work flexible shift assignments as needed
