MS/Telemetry RN
Overview
- Travel/contract registered nurse role in Anchorage, Alaska
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Start: ASAP
- First-time travelers accepted
- May float to like units within scope
- Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend, depending on staffing
- No block scheduling
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Guaranteed hours: 60 per 2 weeks, with up to 1 shift call-off per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Details
- Med-surg telemetry unit
- Co-care/virtual nursing model with bedside RN, virtual RN, and CNA support
- Bedside RN and CNA ratio: 1:6
- Surgical cases include colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound
- Medical cases include cancer-related diagnoses, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
