Registered Respiratory Therapist

Omaha, Nebraska

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of floor experience or 1 year of ICU experience
  • Strong clinical floor skills
  • ICU experience is recommended
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • Active Nebraska RT license
  • High school diploma must be available for compliance
  • Trach experience

Clinical Experience

  • Adult ICU experience with the Servoi, ventilator extubation protocols, and ABGs
  • General floor therapy experience with nebulizer therapy, EzPAP, IPV, CPAP, BiPAP, Acapella, CPT, Vest therapy, ABGs, and oxygen delivery devices

Schedule

  • Evenings
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Transition to evening shifts after orientation

Assignment Details

  • Floating to different floors based on need
  • Large department with resource support available
  • 2–3 week orientation with hospital and department training

Dress Code

  • Wine-colored scrubs
  • Logo wear required for tops and jackets

Charting and Equipment

  • Electronic charting
  • EPIC computerized charting
  • Omnicell medication system
  • Pyxis supply system
  • Vision and V60 BiPAP machines
  • Focus and Synchrony CPAP/BiPAP machines
