Registered Respiratory Therapist

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of floor experience or 1 year of ICU experience
- Strong clinical floor skills
- ICU experience is recommended
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- Active Nebraska RT license
- High school diploma must be available for compliance
- Trach experience
Clinical Experience
- Adult ICU experience with the Servoi, ventilator extubation protocols, and ABGs
- General floor therapy experience with nebulizer therapy, EzPAP, IPV, CPAP, BiPAP, Acapella, CPT, Vest therapy, ABGs, and oxygen delivery devices
Schedule
- Evenings
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts
- Transition to evening shifts after orientation
Assignment Details
- Floating to different floors based on need
- Large department with resource support available
- 2–3 week orientation with hospital and department training
Dress Code
- Wine-colored scrubs
- Logo wear required for tops and jackets
Charting and Equipment
- Electronic charting
- EPIC computerized charting
- Omnicell medication system
- Pyxis supply system
- Vision and V60 BiPAP machines
- Focus and Synchrony CPAP/BiPAP machines
- High-flow systems
