Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Largo, Maryland
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM
- Adults/Geriatrics patient population
- 1:1 ratio
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- OR - Operating Room (5 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- Experience in Charge roles
- Strong DaVinci robotics experience
- Bariatric experience
- Trauma experience
- OB/GYN experience
- Urology experience
- Orthopedics experience
- Neurology experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- CNOR
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Holidays required as scheduled
- Weekends required on a rotational basis, including on-call weekends
- On-call required: 5–6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
- Must arrive within 30 minutes when called in
- Floating required within the specialty and to a sister campus as needed
Clinical Setting
- Level II trauma center
- OR cases include trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endo, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, bariatric, and DaVinci robotics
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Epic required
- Communicate effectively with anesthesia, surgeons/providers, nursing, and leadership
- Must prioritize efficiently in high-acuity, emergent, urgent, and add-on cases
