MRI Technologist
Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type: Temp
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 10
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- ARRT
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients of all ages
- Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed
- Prepare patients for exams and provide procedure education and instructions as appropriate
- Follow MRI safety standards and department policies and procedures
- Perform MRI studies and administer contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols
- Assist radiologists with MRI procedures as requested
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment and supplies, including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
- Report equipment malfunctions to a supervisor
- Operate the hospital computer system
- Perform assigned supervisory functions
