Description
Registered Nurse
Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Rotating
Hours per Week: 36
Overview
Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with a goal of wellness and recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Wyoming
- Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Nursery experience
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- Pediatrics experience
Experience
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- NICU experience
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within scope of practice
- Provide patient education
- Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders
- Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
- Complete required fetal monitoring classes if working in Labor and Delivery
Skills
- Strong customer service, communication, listening, organization, time management, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills
- Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision
- Ability to learn new computer software programs
